AS CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER OF HOSPITALITY

Highland, Calif. (April 22, 2019) –– Yaamava’ Resort & Casino announced today that David Kopasz has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer of Hospitality at Yaamava’ Resort & Casino. In this role, Kopasz will oversee all aspects of hospitality at the Casino.

Having developed and overseen the execution of the Casino’s casual and fine dining strategy - powered by a third of the Casino’s workforce - he has tripled the growth of restaurant, bar and lounge seating and has substantially increased revenue for the Food and Beverage department. As Chief Operating Officer of Hospitality, Kopasz will be responsible for overseeing the hospitality division and implementing growth strategies aimed to take the Casino to new heights.

SAN MANUEL CASINO ANNOUNCES NEW CHIEF OPERATING OFFICER

After Much Success Growing Hospitality Division, Kenji Hall to Oversee Casino Operations

Highland, CA (April 10, 2019) – San Manuel Casino announced that Kenji Hall has been promoted to Chief Operating Officer. The announcement follows the promotion of Peter Arceo to General Manager of San Manuel Casino, and Loren Gill to CEO of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. In his new role, Hall will oversee the administration and execution of activities for San Manuel Casino, ensure maximized and sustainable revenues for the Tribe, lead a culture of world-class customer service and oversee the Casino’s expansion project.

Hall joined San Manuel as Chief Operating Officer of the Casino’s hospitality division in August 2017 and has since led the team to substantial growth. After overseeing a successful opening for Bear Springs Hotel, Hall will use that experience to help San Manuel Casino execute its vision in the new expansion project. Hall has over 30 years of executive and management experience in gaming and hospitality, having served as Assistant General Manager for Primm Valley Resorts and their three properties – Primm Valley Resort, Buffalo Bill’s and Whiskey Pete’s, and for other well-known organizations including MGM Resorts and Hilton.

PETER ARCEO NAMED GENERAL MANAGER, SAN MANUEL CASINO
 

Highland, Calif. (March 29, 2019) – San Manuel Casino announced today that Peter Arceo will officially fill the role of General Manager. This follows the most recent announcement that the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians named Loren Gill, former General Manager of the Casino, as Chief Executive Officer for San Manuel Tribal Government Operations and San Manuel Casino.

As the Casino's new General Manager, Arceo will be responsible for directing all activity – enhancing the overall experience for team members and guests of San Manuel Casino, one of Southern California's top entertainment destinations.

"From the moment Peter joined our team, he has led by example and helped lead the Casino to unprecedented growth," said Loren Gill, Chief Executive Officer of San Manuel. Arceo joined San Manuel Casino as Chief Marketing Officer in August 2015 and was elevated to Chief Operating Officer in August 2018. During his tenure, Peter helped establish the vision and foundation of the Casino's expansion project, launched its player development program, and made providing a best-in-class experience for Casino guests and employees a top priority. As Chief Marketing Officer, Arceo established a database marketing department and propelled the 'All Thrill' advertising campaign to success.

SAN MANUEL’S ANNUAL TOY DRIVE BENEFITS LOCAL YOUTH AND CHARITIES, JUMPSTARTS THE HOLIDAY SEASON

The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians Donated $25,000 and Will Gift Over 3,000 Toys by the Christmas Holiday

Highland, CA (December 13, 2018) – San Manuel Casino, in partnership with the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians, recently concluded their Annual Toy Drive, which brought in more than 3,000 toys and $25,000 benefitting organizations that support local youth in the Inland Empire. From the beginning of November through early December, new, unwrapped toys were donated by casino guests, employees, and vendors for kids of all ages. The Toy Drive officially ended on December 5 with a celebration hosted by KOLA 99.9 at Rock & Brews inside San Manuel Casino. Guests enjoyed live music from Queen Nation, a Queen tribute band, and an additional 500 toys were donated.

“We feel honored to have once again brought joy to local families during the holiday season with our annual Toy Drive,” shared Lynn Valbuena, Chairwoman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. “We hope to have inspired our community to continue helping one another as we head into the new year.”

For the second year in a row, San Manuel donated several hundred toys to ABC 7’s Spark of Love Toy Drive on November 30, and presented the organization with a check for $25,000. Additionally, on December 7, San Manuel gifted more than 1,000 toys to the California Highway Patrol’s annual “CHiPs for Kids” toy drive.

San Manuel continued its partnership with the San Bernardino City Unified School District to identify families in need. Those families were invited to “Santa’s Pick A Toy Party” hosted at San Manuel Village on December 7. Parents were able to choose the perfect gift for their children from a selection of over 1,000 toys and San Manuel team members were available to help parents wrap their gifts. While parents shopped, fun activities were provided for kids, like a photo op with Santa, arts and crafts, and a cookie decorating station.

Given the immense success of this year’s Toy Drive San Manuel was able to spread the joy even further, donating the remaining toys to Loma Linda Children’s Hospital on Friday, December 14. To view images from the Annual Toy Drive, please visit this link here.

San Manuel Partners with Los Angeles Kings and Ontario Reign For Halloween Fun at Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House

Highland, CA (October 23, 2018) – On Friday, October 19, the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians joined the Los Angeles Kings and their top minor-league affiliate, the Ontario Reign, for a day of community service at the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House in Loma Linda.

The Ronald McDonald house was transformed into a Halloween Hockey house, while more than 50 volunteers from San Manuel, the Ontario Reign and The Kings Care Foundation came together to create fun Halloween festivities for more than 40 families staying in the house. They baked Halloween cookies for the kids to decorate, hosted fun games like pumpkin bowling, while teaching some hockey fundamentals from the professionals. San Manuel provided a fully-catered meal from Just Barbeque at San Manuel Casino, home of Southern style BBQ delights. 

“San Manuel was proud to participate in an event that brings so much joy to the families of the Ronald McDonald House,” said Lynn Valbuena, Chairwoman of the San Manuel Band of Mission Indians. “We are honored to team up with our partners from The Kings Care Foundation and lend a hand in helping our community to give these families a fantastic Halloween celebration.”

The Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House provides housing for families with children receiving medical care at Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital and other nearby hospitals. The Ronald McDonald House has supported more than 23,000 families since its opening in the Inland Empire in 1996. More than 54 families can be housed each night for a small contribution of $12, but no family is turned away for the inability to pay.

“The celebration hosted by San Manuel, the Los Angeles Kings, and the Ontario Reign was enjoyed by all of the families staying at the Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House,” said Karen Hopper, Executive Director of Inland Empire Ronald McDonald House. “All of the staff involved did an outstanding job making this a special event. It’s because of their support that families have a wonderful place to stay and can enjoy some normalcy during one of the most difficult times of their lives.”
