San Manuel Casino Donates $100,000 To American Red Cross Wildfire Relief
SAN MANUEL CASINO DONATES $100,000 TO AMERICAN RED CROSS CALIFORNIA WILDFIRE RELIEF
Highland, CA (November 21, 2019) – The American Red Cross serving San Bernardino County is pleased to announce a $100,000 donation from San Manuel Casino targeted to serve those affected in Los Angeles by the recent Getty Fire. This donation allows the Red Cross to provide recovery services including financial assistance, cleanup kits, referral services and more to those affected by wildfires that have ravaged communities throughout the state.
“We are deeply grateful for San Manuel Casino’s generous gift,” said Yevette Baysinger, Executive Director of the American Red Cross serving San Bernardino. “This donation will enable the Red Cross to help people recover from the devastating effects of recent wildfires and build a more resilient California.”
The Red Cross helps communities prepare for, respond to and recover from disasters big and small. In the last month, California has experienced wildfires that have scorched thousands of acres, prompted mass evacuations, destroyed numerous homes and outbuildings. As recovery efforts continue, the Red Cross is still there, providing relief supplies and helping people plan their next steps as they return home and seek to rebuild their lives. “We are proud to partner with the American Red Cross to support wildfire relief efforts in California. Helping those in our community and neighboring communities is something we are passionate about,” said Peter Arceo, General Manager of San Manuel Casino.
